A two-day workshop

Using physical and learning disability to create a space for discussions

Beyond the Junk
21 May & 25 May 2023
South Norwood Recreation Ground and Socco Cheta

Norwood Junnkcation presented Beyond the JunK, a two-day workshop created in partnership with NHS Croydon Health Service and supported by GLA Grants to explore issues around obesity, using litter picking and public spaces for learning about our physical well-being.

Beyond the Junk was led by the South Norwood-based Polish artist, Aga Artstar. Who  used her physical and learning disability to create a space for discussions and sharing experiences around issues related to physical and mental health. During the workshop there was a focus on the intersection between our food system, junk-food and financial and educational limitations experienced in our community.
