Projects

Each NJA project and duration are shaped around participants' needs, time and ability.

It can be a one-off experience or a longer/educational project. Locations for both litter-picking sessions and art-making workshops are set on participants’ locality, area and infrastructure.

Saturday Junkee

Saturday Junkee was a  bi-weekly litter-picking and art-making programme designed to engage individuals and groups

Tuesday JunKAction

Tuesday JunKAction's sessions were happening in different locations in South Norwood, including the Belgrave Car

Trans Pride

We joined Trans Pride to advocate for the rights and empowerment of the transgender community.

Beyond the Junk

a two-day workshop created in partnership with NHS Croydon Health Service and supported by GLA

Notting Hill Carnival

NJA took on its first major project involving a collaborating with TRIBO Band  for the

JunK ScareCrow Action

Presented in a creative participatory two-day event, ScareCrow JunKAction featured a litter-picking activity on the

JunKoronation

For King Charles's Conornation, NJA set up JunKoronation, exploring a different way of celebrating the

Litter-picking Training

NJA will provide:

  • Basic training on Litter-picking.
  • Free tools and equipment.
    Free tools and equipment.
  • Primary art DIY material and structure/space when/if needed.

Participants are introduced to litter-picking and equipped with litter-picking tools before embarking on their litter-treasure hunt.

Shared Experiences

After the litter picking, participants share experiences and ideas, immersing themselves in creating Art from the JunK.

Participants are invited to partake in a collective warm-up workshop to get the free creative flow that will allow them to use their narrative as a guide to making their Final artwork.
